A heavy-duty cast black iron plate for use as a baking stone, pizza stone, or griddle. It can withstand and retain high heat on the hob, barbecue, or in the oven.

—DETAILS—

This griddle plate from Netherton Foundry is made of thick black iron and retains heat exceptionally well, able to withstand high temperatures for extended periods (think sourdough bread). Suitable on the hob, barbeque, or in the oven, they are heavy-duty, durable, and, most importantly, versatile. Use them asplanchas for charring and searing burgers, or as a pizza stone. Integrated handles make them easy to transport in and out of the oven, but do be careful and always wear oven gloves. Pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural easy-release finish that gets better over time as you maintain and season the pan.

Note: This plate should be seasoned before use, to repel rust and fortify the layer of seasoning. This layer should be regularly maintained. Read our instructions on how to season and maintain spun iron cookware, and why it’s worth it, in ourguide.
