A delicate snail glides across a leaf, frozen forever in glass: the Ichendorf Animal Farm dome with dish snail and leaf turns everyday dining into a small, poetic scene. Conceived by Alessandra Baldereschi, this creation captures the charm of the natural world and translates it into a piece of contemporary design. More than a simple accessory, its a moment of storytelling in transparent form, designed to surprise and delight guests at every table. Its organic motif celebrates slowness, beauty, and the pleasure of attention: values that define Ichendorfs approach to glassmaking.

Craftsmanship in every curve

Made entirely of handmade and lampworked borosilicate glass, this dome and dish pair exemplify precision and artistry. The dome diameter of 20 cm and plate diameter of 15 cm strike a perfect balance between function and refinement. The materials durability makes it ideal for alimentary use while retaining the luminous transparency that distinguishes Ichendorf pieces. It is also dishwasher safe at low temperatures (40 C/104 F recommended), allowing the beauty of craftsmanship to fit seamlessly into everyday life. Each piece carries tiny variations, reminders of its human origin and the dance between artisan and flame.

Playful design with purpose

In the Animal Farm collection, humor meets precision. The snail resting upon its leaf adds a touch of whimsy without sacrificing sophistication, making this handmade designer dome perfect for protecting small cakes, cheeses, or desserts with elegance. The interaction between the dome and its matching plate enhances the sculptural quality of the piece, offering both practical use and visual pleasure. Whether used as an animal motif dessert cover or displayed as decorative art, it invites smiles and admiration alike.

Connecting collections, creating stories

This Ichendorf Animal Farm dome fits harmoniously alongside tumblers and glasses, cups and mugs, jugs and pitchers from the same design world. It also complements other works from the Alessandra Baldereschi x Ichendorf, creating continuity across the table. When paired with other Animal Farm pieces, it forms a complete tableau: a transparent landscape of creatures and shapes that blur the line between tableware and art.

Italian design with a playful soul

This collectible glass dome reflects Ichendorfs core philosophy: craftsmanship, imagination, and the joy of simplicity. The whimsical snail glassware turns utility into poetry, offering a premium table decor piece that feels timeless yet alive. Perfect for design lovers and hosts who value originality, the dome captures a moment of stillness: a celebration of natures rhythm preserved in glass.
