To use this bowl, half-fill your Dutch oven with water and bring it to the boil. Place chocolate, butter or other solid fats like cocoa butter and coconut oil, directly in the bain marie to gently melt them. You can also use it for making delicate egg-based sauces like hollandaise, or zabaglione desserts.

The stainless steel side handle lets you keep the bowl from wobbling while its set over the boiling water. Use this handle to lift the bain marie off the pan once your chocolate or sauce is ready.
