These simple yet profound communal rituals primarily rely on two ingredients: cereals and coffee. Used coffee grounds and grain husks emerge as by-products and are typically considered waste.

Laura Lynn Reyes, the founder, is a designer based in Zurich, Switzerland. Working on gastronomic projects raised her awareness of the by-product of food production: organic waste. Intrigued by raw aesthetics and tactility, she began questioning, “Can design help us understand waste as something valuable?” and “How can this value become visible and tangible?” At NOM.0, Laura Lynn explores these questions by blending material experiments, craftsmanship, and design practices.
