The full-tang blades ofthese Shun Kazahanaknivesare made of AUS10A, a high-carbon stainless steel with exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and hardness. The vanadium in the blades allowsthem to be sharpened to an extremely sharp 16 degree angle that will slice through any food with ease.

In Japanese, Kazahana means “snow that flickers like petals dancing in the sky.” These beautiful knives have the name of Kazahana, as the finish on the blades mimics this beautiful sight.In addition to having an elegant look, theblades’ beautiful satin finishes serves the purpose of helping to release food from the blades.

Each contoured, symmetrical ShunKazahana knife handle is made ofpolished black Pakkawood, which provides a secure, comfortable grip.
