The 4.5-inch blade on thePursuit Pro is made of S35VN stainless steel, which provides the same edge retention as S30V, but is easier to resharpen for sharpening in the field or on the go.

Buck’s exclusive Paul Bos heat-treating and testing process maximizes both of these advantages, and makes the blade easy to resharpenwhen needed. It is hardened to a Rockwell Hardness of RC58 through a rigorous heating, freezing and reheating process.
