Handcrafted in France with century-old traditions and sustainable practices, this wide bowl from Jars Tourron range is suitable foreveryday or entertaining at home.

—DETAILS—

Made from the highest quality ceramic, the bowl features a matte cream exterior and a non-porous glazed interior which gives it both an organic and contemporary feel. In consideration of the environment, Jars has developed a unique firing process to save energy by firing only once at1285Crather than the standard three times. This extremely high heat makes their ceramics very robust, able to withstand dishwasher use without any effect on colour or composition, as well as resist chipping. The subtle ‘crackled’ effect on the inner polished glaze isthe company’s signature.

This piece can be pre-heated in a low oven (max 150C) from room temperature. It should not be used for cooking. Over 200C, and in particular, when using oil, the crackled-effect glaze can open and may let colours of cooked foods in, making it impossible to remove.

—BENEFITS—

‘Jars ceramics are totally unique. They have the look of fully handmade ceramics, but arevery durable. Restaurants lovetheir plates, bowls and cups because they can go through the dishwasher multiple times a day but still maintain their lustre. Since theircollectionsare vast (a result of their international popularity), they look lovely when mixed with multiple colours from a range.’
